Hi at last!

Hi everyone! Finally, I get to log in and type something. It's most meaningful that I get to write this considering Sonshine Playhouse turns one on 25th April. We celebrated with a little cake this morning. Looking back, it really is a miracle how Sonshine started.

Aimos was 3 and Aimee was nearly 1 at the time when I read a mom's sharing thru Homefrontier (the homeschooling e-group) about she taking her 4 and 5 yr old girls to PJ EFC (Evangelical Free Church) playgroup. I immediately enquired about the playgroup and of course checked it out, and wow! I liked it! Justine came along after that, followed by Elaine, and we then went to Glad Tidings Bounce Playhouse for about 1/2 year. This started in September 2006.

And so the idea of running a playgroup was mentioned, and we brood over it, pray over it, and cutting a story short, Sonshine was born. It has gone thru many metamorphosis : change of location (only from upstairs to downstairs), change of day (Wednesday to Tuesday), change of sequence of activities (from Craft Time/Snack/Mat Time to Mat Time/Snack/Craft Time and now Mat Time/Craft Time/Snack Time) and followed by lots of free play by the children themselves and free talk amongst the moms!

Initially it was only Justine and myself doing most of the work, and of course Elaine occasionally, (Elaine's our prayer warrior for the group!), and we found a jewel when God provided Lian Ching (pls correct my spelling, Justine); and then now we have a pretty regular cook - Liz with her stream of delicious and healthy brunch, and of course not forgetting our home made pizza by our dear Wai Han!

It's such a great joy to see the children grow and also all the other new moms and children. I thank my Lord Jesus for having caused us to take this path, though initially there was a little apprehension.
